Dr Nicole Garrod-Bush

Nicole Garrod-Bush teaches in the Department of English Studies at Durham University, where she previously completed a PhD on Victorian fiction and technologies of the moving image. She has research interests in nineteenth- and twentieth-century literature, ideas of the cinematic, visual art, and the history and philosophy of technology and science. Her recent publications address the metaphorical use of the kaleidoscope in mid-nineteenth-century literature and in artwork by the Pre-Raphaelites, and the impact of technology upon narratives of creativity.
